Accessories

The AmeriPod camper pods are sold as a shell with no interior accessories.  Along the way of designing the prototype I am running across websites which offer accessories that people may be interested in.

Here are just a few, with more to be added as they are encountered:

General Overlanding Supplier:  https://www.ternoverland.com/  David & Aimee -

Windows

Roof Hatches

Cargo Access Doors

Entry Doors

Water & Electrical Ports

Novus Cleaner, Polish, Scratch Remover

Flooring:  I used a "weightlift room tile" floor from Home Depot.  Adds #70 and cost about $140.

Wood stove:   Believe it or not, there are several companies that have designed wood burning stoves for use in RV's related applications.  This one from Canada gets my vote.  I'll be installing one in my AmeriPod camping pod in October!

Small Cook Stoves for Boats, RV's, and Tiny Spaces/Cabins

Keep out the cold with our miniature wood cook stove that is ideal for use in a sailboat or camping heater. A Cubic Mini Wood Stove is your lightweight and cost-effective solution to stay warm.
  • Mini wood stove designed to heat boats, cabins and RV's up to 40' long.
  • Durable! Constructed from laser cut steel plate 1/8 to 3/16 thick!
  • Produces 6000 to 14000 BTU's!
  • Easy to install and easy to operate!
  • Measures only 11 x 12 x 10.5!
  • 3-inch flu pipe diameter
  • Eco-friendly
  • Produces very little smoke due to its secondary combustion system!
  • Much safer than a diesel or propane heater
  • Removes humidity from the cabin
  • Weight: 27 LBS

Windows:  Be cautious before you cut the rough openings!  Some of these are labeled in their descriptions.    This 40"x10" is actually 40x9!!

I also found out that my local RV dealer can get better prices by ordering "replacement" windows directly from the camper manufactures he represents.

Jacks/Wheels

I'm adding the jacks with side wind crank to my pod.

Allows lifting the pod 10" so the deck can be pulled out from under the jack and the pod can be off the ground and leveled.   Useful if the campsite floods also!

Part # TJP5001SB  $34.99 at local trailer dealer.

I'm going back to check on the same thing with wheels.
"Pipe mount" stand is removed while traveling.  10" travel lifts Pod off deck and allows leveling.
These brackets were fabricated by the local trailer dealer, alone with matching 4"x6"x1/4" aluminum backing plates for mounting the removable jacks.  Anything that is made from steel which will be against the aluminum is getting a thick undercoat spray to minimize corrosion between dissimilar metals.
Washers with undercoat spray.

This leveling stand might work but isn't that easy to adjust.

Yes, the AmeriPod(s) are designed to mount on the AmeriDeck SuperDeck-III.  I have been a rep for AmeriDeck for about three years and this...
