Ansel Adams drove an International TravellAll with a plywood deck and a ladder for shooting with his large frame cameras.   Surely we can accomplish that!

I can expand the luggage rack to the full size of the roof for just a few bucks (as shown it's $587 at about 48" square.)

Watch your footing.  Eye level on top of this 9'6" height roof top will be about 14' elevation.
